Taare Zameen Par - The Review...

Okay, so it's the first time that Amir Khan is Directing a Film. Everyone has huge expectations from it and the film finally releases. And what do I think about it? Well read on…

Let’s start with the backbone of the film, the story. It is the most heart-warming story of the year. This year has been really great as far as scripts are concerned. And Taare Zameen Par is the cherry on the cake. The beautifully written story is splendidly told by the amazing screenplay. There is no hurry in the screenplay. It has just the right amount pacing the story demands. Specially considering Amir is the director, one would have expected his go rush through the child’s part and make his entry much before in the film. But it doesn’t happen. He allows the story to unfold properly. And after a long time we got to see a film in which the emotions looked genuine. Also the social message given is beaiutiul. And all this happens without making the movie very preachy.

As far as the acting is concerned, Darsheel deserver all the awards that we have for ths film. He emerges as the true winner. He steels the show. And Amir is also very good, as usual. The other actors are brilliant too.

The cinematography shows some splendid use of colors but is not overpowering. And there are no fancy cuts as far as the editing goes. All the technical departments allow the story to propagate properly.

The music is amazing. It may not have that “mass appeal” but the title song and “Maa” will make everyone cry.

To conclude TZP is a must see film. But it’s not for those who have the emotional range of a teaspoon…

DO WATCH IT…
